Our History
NorthSide Tutors began with a simple but important goal: to provide learners with the support, structure, and encouragement they often need beyond the traditional classroom. Based in Pretoria North, the centre was created in response to families looking for a learning space where children could strengthen their foundations, gain confidence, and receive consistent academic guidance. What started as focused support in core subjects like Mathematics and English soon grew as more parents sought help not only for CAPS schooling, but also for homeschooling and alternative online education pathways.
As education evolved, so did NorthSide Tutors. The center expanded its offerings to support learners following international and online programs, including the American High School Diploma and the GED, while maintaining its strong commitment to structured weekly sessions, regular assessments, and open communication with parents. Through steady growth and a hands-on approach, NorthSide Tutors has become a trusted part of the Pretoria North and the global expat community, a place where learners are guided, monitored, and supported on their academic journey, and where progress is measured not only in marks, but in confidence and independence.
What We Do
NorthSide Tutors is a South Africa based tutor centre dedicated to helping learners who have been left behind by the traditional school system, as well as individuals seeking an alternative path to completing their Grade 12 equivalency. We believe that every learner deserves access to quality education, personalized support, and a second chance to succeed, no matter their background or previous academic experience.
Our focus is on providing structured, supportive tutoring for learners who need extra guidance, alongside internationally recognized pathways such as the American High School Diploma and GED. Whether a learner has struggled in mainstream schooling, needs a more flexible learning environment, or is looking to open doors to further studies and career opportunities, NorthSide Tutors offers a practical, learner-centered solution. We are committed to empowering students with the knowledge, confidence, and qualifications they need to move forward and build a better future.
We are located in Pretoria North South Africa but function globally through our online monitoring, no student left behind.
